Hi, I'm Ástþór.

I'm the Founding CTO of CookieHub, a consent management platform that helps organizations manage privacy compliance, consent collection, and Google Consent Mode implementations.

I've spent more than 25 years building software, web platforms, cloud infrastructure, and SaaS products. My work today sits at the intersection of privacy, compliance, analytics, and web technology, where technical implementation often meets regulatory requirements.

Over the years I've worked on everything from Linux servers and web applications to large-scale SaaS platforms, security, monitoring, and compliance systems. I enjoy understanding how things work, solving complex technical problems, and documenting what I learn along the way.

This site is where I share technical notes, research, observations, and lessons learned from building and operating software. Most articles are based on real-world investigations, implementation work, or problems I've encountered while working with technologies such as Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Consent Mode, server-side tagging, privacy frameworks, cloud infrastructure, and web platforms.
